Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

TabTrade — What It Is

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.

His background matters. It says the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform this new, that range is solid.

The Software

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Many pick one platform. Getting both matters. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, EAs, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is apparently coming. That would be a good addition when it lands.

Accounts and Pricing

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your real cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Now, the detail you need to be straight about. TabTrade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement is not cheap. Scam brokers do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does be part of your assessment.

The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.

The Bonus

TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you commit.
